Day 1: Arrival in Chiang Mai
Once you arrive at Chiang Mai International Airport, take your chosen transportation and check into your rental or hotel room.
Take a little time to look around with a leisurely stroll around the Old City. Admire the ancient temples, including Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang. Don’t forget to try some street food along the way!
Enjoy a traditional Thai dinner at a local restaurant near your hotel. We recommend green curry, but definitely try a classic dish like Pad Thai or Mango Sticky Rice.
Day 2: Elephant Encounter
Start the day with a once-in-a-lifetime experience at an ethical elephant sanctuary, like Elephant Nature Park, Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, or the Elephant Freedom Project (we went to this one and it was absolutely perfect!).
