If your kids love Halloween inspired food, this Frankenstein toast will be a huge hit! We love Halloween and all things spooky in our house. So in honor of everyone’s favorite monster, Frankenstein, we created a recipe that combines two beloved ingredients – avocado and toast – to create a breakfast or snack that is both delicious and festive!
This toast is so much fun because it’s easy for your kids to be involved in the whole process and, depending on their age, they may be able to make it all by themselves. Kids will love this on Halloween morning and since it’s quick and easy, it’s even perfect for a school day morning!
Frankenstein Toast
Frankenstein toast can be decorated will all different types of foods, you just have to use a little creativity. Keep reading to learn how to make it and decorate it just like we did.
What you will need to make Frankenstein Toast:
- Bread (your favorite kind or whatever you have will work)
- Avocado (about a quarter of an avocado for small pieces of toast, half for large)
- Seaweed sheets
- Black olives
- Red bell pepper
- Pretzels
How to make this fun Halloween Toast:
Toast the bread.
Spread a layer of avocado on each slice of bread.
Trim a seaweed sheet to look like Frankenstein’s hair.
Slice olives and use two rounds to make Frankenstein’s eyes.
Cut a bell pepper for Frankenstein’s mouth.
Add pieces of olives to create the scar.
Attached olive end pieces to pretzels with more avocado and push the pretzels into the bottom of the bread for Frankenstein’s bolts.
