It’s finally complete! My two oldest, who share a room, finally have a completed bedroom and I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out. I wanted to create a little girls bedroom that was simple and feminine and something they could grow into and love as they got older.
We took things we already loved about their room and incorporated some dramatic elements to really make it feel so different.
My girls love to read so we decided to keep these book ledges that were part of the original room.
We keep our favorite books close by for the perfect bedtime story. Plus I love incorporating frames and little trinkets they really cherish. I have photos, small toys, plants, first ballet shoes and items that are really important to us on that top shelf. My favorite has to be the dried flower crowns from Edith’s birth pictures. Our special items are tucked high enough away from little hands but I get to see it often.
One of our favorite part of the room has to be the new wallpaper from Rocky Mountain Decals. It took months to search for the perfect wallpaper for month. I wanted a sophisticated large scale floral and this wallpaper exceeded all of my expectations. I was nervous about installing a wallpaper but it was actually easier than I thought. This is a removable wallpaper so we were able to adjust it if we didn’t have the positioning just right the first time. It’s a two person job for sure but after we got the hang of it, it moved pretty fast. One really important tip we learned was not to skip the scraping step (using a little plastic tool to push the wallpaper onto the wall). Our walls have some texture and that extra step really helped reinforce the paper.
Rocky Mountain Decals was such a pleasure to work with. Beautiful designs with a personal touch. What’s even better? They are giving a special gift to all of you.

Another old piece turned new is their dresser. This dresser was my dresser from my nursery set (my mom actually kept the crib too). It was a dark cherry wood and you might remember but I first painted it a bright pink (see that here). A little chalk paint and a whole lot of love and this dresser looks like a totally different piece. I already loved its character and now, in this clean crisp white, I love it even more.
My heart skipped a beat when I opened up the box of their new chandelier. I purchased it HERE and it’s really everything I wanted to complete the sophisticated look.
I really wanted to be intentional with every piece I added in this room. It isn’t the biggest room and with two beds it already can feel a bit cluttered. It was important that each piece mean something and so I worked with my friend Bessy of Simply Bessy Designs to create this art piece. She has some beautiful prints in her shop. You can check it out here.
The walls are painted a soft white to really compliment the floral wallpaper. The clean palate is what I needed especially with the shelves. I didn’t want it to look too busy and the white gives it a clean and simple look.
You might not realize it but our curtains are black out curtains. Our girls still nap and so it was important that we created a tranquil space for them. We love these ones HERE.
I wanted to have a little area of the room for the girls to hang their backpacks, purses and other little knick knacks. These adorable floral hooks add the perfect touch and continue that floral theme.
I love that this gives the girls a little responsibility about keeping things tidy and in the right place.
This room had to not only be beautiful but functional for these two young girls. Finding the perfect bedding was so important to me. I needed something that was durable, easy to wash, and looked great. I choose this gorgeous chic white style from Beddy’s bedding and I couldnt be more happy. Plus making their beds went from a chore I dreaded to something the girls enjoy doing themselves. The bedding has sides that zipper and so with one quick pull the beds are made and tidy.
The inside of the comforter is this super soft minky fabric. There are even extra side panels to make the comforter extra long so you are sure to have every bit of you warm under the covers.
Beddy’s is offering all of my readers a special discount. Use code MRSBLINKS for 20% off your entire purchase! Time to stock up!
I dont know what I would do without my Bobsweep. It has been a lifesaver for us. I not only use it to vacuum the girls bedroom but the entire house. I love how it even gets under the bed!
We didn’t have enough room for a traditional nightstand in the girls bedroom so I opted for these fun furry stools.
The girls are in love with their new room. I am too! If you are interested in any of the products we choose I have linked them below.

Thanks for reading along. I hope to share more of our home and am already working on Hazel’s room tour next. We love our house and really enjoy making it our dream home. Making improvements we really love is a slow process but a fun one none the less. Thanks for taking this journey with us. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments below.
I have to give the biggest shout out to our amazing photographer, Bianca Merrell Photography, who took these beautiful shots of the girls bedroom. If you have never done an in-home session I would highly suggest it. There is something special about having photos with your family in your home. Follow Bianca here and if you live in Tampa be sure to book a session with her, you won’t regret it.
