Hosting a holiday cookie exchange party is a fun and delicious way to celebrate the holiday season! We absolutely love having friends and family over during holiday time, and this is an easy way to make it happen.

Our Holiday Cookie Exchange Party

For our famous cookie exchange party, we invite friends and family over and ask that each person or family bring a dozen of their best cookies. For the cookie fun, we lay down butcher block paper on the kitchen island for the cookies to be laid on, and then we write a number in front of each dozen with no name or type of cookie. Everyone then walks around trying the cookies and dropping their favorite cookie’s number in the submission bucket.

At the end of the party, we tally the scores and reveal the top 3 winners. Sometimes, we give gift cards as prizes, but there’s always a fun hat or award for the best. Split up what’s left of the cookies at the end, and let everyone take a variety home with them!

Kids and adults alike will have a blast participating in this get-together! It’s the perfect tradition to start with your family and friends to make sure you all get together every year during the holidays. It’s also a fantastic way to get new delicious cookie recipes every year!
