Are you looking for a fun and exciting vacation spot for your family? Look no further than Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic! When we got an email from Nickelodeon inviting us to visit the resort to celebrate Santiago of the Seas, we were so excited! This was a dream trip for our 6-year-old daughter, Hazel, so we couldn’t wait to surprise the girls!
Located on the beautiful Uvero Alto beach, Nickelodeon Resort is a totally unique vacation experience with something for everyone! There are fun activities for kids and adults, delicious dining options, and surprisingly luxurious accommodations. I’m excited to share our experience with you, tell you all the things you need to know before going, and why it’s the perfect place for your next family getaway!

What You Need to know Before Visiting Nickelodeon Resort Punta Cana
Since we had never been to a Nickelodeon Resort before, we really didn’t know what to expect. It was a true adventure for us, and we were blown away by how the trip went! I’m going to walk you through our trip and fill you in on what you need to know before you go.
Travel Day
We were running late for our flight out, and Clear totally saved the day! Clear is a traveler program that makes it super easy for its members to verify their identities with touchless security kiosks. We would have been in trouble without it!
Nickelodeon made sure we had the VIP treatment! We didn’t have to wait in customs lines, and we had private transport! This never happens, so we soaked in every moment!
Side note: Did you know you can swim at the airport lounge in Punta Cana airport? You can pay for a day pass or access the lounge through your travel cards.
Upon arrival, we went straight to the welcome reception. We were greed with green slime drinks and everyone from Nickelodeon was so nice! We got a sneak peek at the new Santiago of the Seas merch, and the reception had all the Santiago swag! It was a beautiful setup with delicious food!
From the reception, we went to check out our rooms. Since we’re a family of 5, we had two conjoining rooms with tons of space! If you have a smaller family, you could probably get away with just one room because they’re so spacious. The rooms totally exceeded our expectations, and we loved the subtle Nickelodeon touches in the decor.

Dining at Nickelodeon Resort
After we got settled, we changed and headed to dinner. Since it’s an all-inclusive resort, all the meals are included in the price you pay. There are so many restaurants to choose from and some specialty dining is included in that price. We decided to try WokWok and it was absolutely delicious! The kids love it too!
After dinner, as we were walking back to the room, we found a little carnival with a bounce house and cotton candy. It was the perfect way to end a perfect first day!
Day 2 at Nickelodeon Resort

The morning of our second day, we surprised the girls with a character breakfast. They had so much fun dancing! Your kids will have a blast at the character breakfast and keep talking about it for days! After breakfast, we explored the other side of the island. Hazel and Lu hung out in Club Nick – a hangout for kids with a slide, ball pit, structured activities, and more! It’s for ages 4-12, and the girls loved it! They have all kinds of activities for the kids to enjoy, and it gives you a chance to check out other parts of the resort on your own.
While they played, we took Edith to get some food and check out Aqua Nick, the resort’s water park. It has a snack spot called Aqua Bite for convenient snacks while you’re having fun in the sun!
What are slime drinks like?
We had more slime drinks, which were frozen and had a tropical-type taste. The only thing I could think of to compare the flavor to is a candy necklace. Adults can add “extra stuff” if they want to. They’re really good, and we had several during our stay!
Later, after the girls were done at Club Nick, we had a whole family play day at the water park and then went to Amazon’s beach party!
The beach party had tons of Santiago party props, face and nail painting, great food, and a dance floor with a DJ! We had an incredible night!
Day 3 at Nickelodeon Resort

Day three was surprisingly nostalgic! I was feeling twinges of nostalgia from arrival because I was a 90s kid, so I grew up loving Nickelodeon. But I was surprised by just how nostalgic the experience ended up being overall! It unlocked a lot of memories for me, and I got to accomplish my dream from childhood of being slimed!
We played in the water, got slimed, and played in the water some more! It was a blast!
Getting Slimed
A lot of people have questions about getting slimed! So let’s talk about the details. The slime doesn’t have any taste, but it does have an odd smell. The consistency is like water and super easy to get out of clothes. Private sliming costs $50, or you can do group sliming for free. They do private sliming twice a day, and they call one family after the other. We got to go first, which was fun! Private sliming comes with a family photo, which was totally worth it for the experience, in my opinion!
Later that night we went to Lorelai’s pool party presented by Target. They had lots of yummy treats, and the girls got mermaid’s hair. They had poolside shows on the big screen, and we got slimed again in the pool!
