With calm, shallow waters that are great for kids and gorgeous sandy beaches like Golden Beach, Santa Maria, and Livadia Beach, Paros is a perfect destination for families! There are plenty of other things to keep everyone entertained as well. You can relax at a beach bar while the kids splash in the Aegean Sea, or stay at a boutique hotel with a family pool, sea views, and family rooms. Pretty fishing villages like Piso Livadi and Aliki are great places to enjoy fresh fish from a local fisherman or visit an organic farm. Paros Island truly offers the perfect mix of relaxation and fun, making it a great choice for children of all ages. Plus you get all of the beauty of white cobblestones and crystal clear water without the crowds of the other more popular islands.

Where We Stayed
Kontaratos Apartment, Parikia
This family-friendly spot in the heart of Parikia has spacious rooms, air conditioning, and a central location near the port area and old town. The owner was so nice and it’s a great value stay, especially if you’re traveling with small children or planning your first visit to Paros. We walked to the beach from this apartment. If you are looking for a budget stay this is a great place to stay with plenty of space. You aren’t going to have the fancy amenities you find at other accommodations but the location is great!

Staying at Villa Irini in Naoussa with kids is such a treat! The family-friendly vibe, spacious rooms, and easy access to beaches and town make it super relaxing for parents and fun for little ones too.
Aliki Panorama Hotel, Aliki
Overlooking Aliki Beach, this family hotel has the most peaceful vibe and is just a short walk to tavernas serving fresh fish. It’s an ideal place for exploring remote beaches or watching wild birds with the kids.
Parosland Hotel, Alyki
This one is near the pretty fishing village of Alyki. It’s a charming spot that has a tennis court, outdoor pool, and plenty of things to do. It’s a great place for families who want to explore different places on Paros Island.

Bloom, Parikia
A stylish, laid-back spot with sea views and a menu full of fresh Mediterranean dishes. Great for a relaxed family meal, especially around sunset. We got breakfast and coffee here a couple of times.
Taverna Glafkos, Naoussa
Tucked right on the water in Naoussa, this charming taverna serves up incredible seafood in a cozy, family-friendly setting. We had grilled Sardines, gounda (sun-dried and grilled mackerel), Greek salads, fries, and tzatziki.
Levantis, Parikia
A hidden gem in the old town, Levantis serves creative Greek cuisine made with local ingredients. We had breakfast here on our last day and it was great!
What to See in Paros with Kids
Archaeological Museum of Paros, Parikia
A small but interesting museum filled with statues, pottery, and even Parian marble artifacts from ancient times, a fun stop for curious kids!
Byzantine Church of Panagia Ekatontapiliani, Parikia
One of the most famous churches in Greece, this Byzantine church has beautiful architecture and a peaceful courtyard that’s nice for a short visit with young children.
Pretty Fishing Village of Naoussa
Walk through colorful alleys, watch boats in the harbor, and maybe spot a local fisherman at work, this popular destination is a photographer’s dream!
Old Town of Parikia
Wander cobblestone streets, visit charming little shops and a gift shop or two, and stop for gelato with the kids in this lively main town.
Alyki Beach & Nearby Organic Farm
After some beach time on Alyki Beach, stop by a nearby organic farm where kids can meet animals and see how local produce is grown.

We spent the first day here with our girls. They have free chairs and umbrellas with a €10 minimum purchase, so it’s really convenient and the perfect spot to hang out all day.
Swim at Kolymbithres Beach or Golden Beach
These are two of the best beaches on Paros Island with shallow waters, soft sand, and calm waters, perfect spots for small children and younger children to play safely. We took a boat ride to Kolymbithres beach, which is a very unique beach with granite rocks. We did rock climbing and had a very fun day there!
Take a Water Taxi or Boat Tour
A fun way to explore the crystal-clear waters and remote beaches. Hop between nearby islands like Naxos Island or visit hidden coves for swimming and snorkeling.
Try Water Sports at Santa Maria Beach
Older kids will love trying out paddleboarding, kayaking, or even their first lesson in windsurfing at this great place for water sports.

What You Should Know About Traveling to Paros with Kids
- Take Advantage of Local Transportation: Renting a car or using water taxis to explore the island is easy. Buses to Naoussa are €1.80 per person each way, you do have to pay for kids. You can take the ferry to the beaches in Naoussa for €10 round trip, kids are free.
- Stay Close to the Action: Opt for a central location so you’re near both family activities and the best beaches, making it easy to get around without long drives. My advice would be to stay in the town of Naousa, its charming and has some of the most gorgeous beaches.
- Prepare for Limited Crowds in Off-Season: Visiting in the shoulder seasons (spring or fall) means fewer crowds, so you can explore the island at a more relaxed pace with the kids.
- Bring Snacks for the Journey: Pack snacks, drinks, and entertainment for the short drive between beaches and attractions, this keeps the kids happy during travel time. Make sure you pack towels for Kolymbrithrs Beach.
- Island hopping is easy. If you’re visiting nearby islands like Naxos Island, the ferry companies offer convenient options. This is how we were able to visit multiple islands on our one month long trip to Greece.
