2 Week Vietnam Family Itinerary + Travel Cost
Days 1 – 8: Hoi An Family Adventure
Day 1: Arrive in Hoi An, check-in to your chosen accommodation.
- We highly recommend staying at least 2-3 nights at the New World Hoiana.
- The resort is right along the beach with some of the nicest amenities anywhere.
- There’s free luxury bus transportation to and from the airport and city center included.
Day 2: Explore the New World Hoiana properties for the day.
- The property is quite large, with 2 different hotels and a building of private residences.
- I recommend taking a tour of the spa and the VIP tower. of the New World Hoiana Beach Resort.
Day 3: Spend most of the day at the main pool.
- The main pool has lots of activities and includes stand up paddle boards for practicing.
- The pool bar, The Cove, has some amazing food and great happy hour specials.
Day 4: Spend a day at the beach in front of the main resort.
- The beach is pristine and very secluded, as they own many acres around the resorts.
- There are surf boards, paddle boards, and other activities that are included in your stay.
- On clear days you have a great view of Phu Quoc Island offshore.
Day 5: Check out the Kids Club and the Spa.
- The kids will enjoy scheduled activities at the Kids Club like clay pottery and other crafts.
- While the parents can take advantage of the full service spa including sauna, steam room, cold and hot tubs, private showers, and massage therapy.
- Spend the last night at one of their world-class restaurants and see the lights.
Day 6: Check out and take the free shuttle into Hoi An and check into your new accommodation.
- We chose to stay between Hoi An Ancient Town and An Bang Beach to get exposure to both.
- Our accommodation was a homestay, where we had 2 rooms to ourselves with private bathrooms.
- While the cost was very low for the stay, we may choose a private villa next time around.
Day 7: Explore the Ancient Town and the River.
- Our family explored the Ancient Town street vendors and had dinner at The Noodle House.
- Took a ride in the long boats along the river to partake in the lantern festival.
Day 8: Spend the day at An Bang Beach and get chairs for the day.
- Rent chairs along the beach in An Bang and enjoy snacks and tropical drinks from the waitstaff.
- Play in the ocean and then take a ride in a coconut boat in the ocean or river.

Days 9 – 13: Da Nang Family Itinerary
Day 9: Check out of homestay, head to breakfast, then get a taxi to Da Nang.
- The drive is only about an hour and a half with moderate traffic along the coast.
- There’s lots of new resorts being built along the way and you can see the ocean most of the drive.
- Check into your new accommodation and get out to the beach and explore!
Day 10: Get out and walk around the city and along the beach boardwalk.
- There are so many great restaurants, breweries, and fun places for the family to enjoy.
- We spent time at the Maia Beach Club to take a rest and have some lunch.
- Be sure to walk or take a taxi to see the Dragon Bridge show at night.
Day 11: Spend a day on the water and try surfing, swimming, or parasailing.
- So many things going on daily at all of the area beaches along the boardwalk.
- Stop and get food or a drink, watch a show in the sand, or just relax in the sun.
- Our favorite beach had to be My Khe Beach, with lots of activities.
Day 12: Book a trip to Ba Na Hill for the day and have a blast. Home of the “Golden Bridge”.
- Ba Na Hill is only about an hour and a half from the Da Nang beach area.
- The theme park is like no other that we’ve been and we had an amazing day.
- The cable car that takes you to the park at Ba Na Hill takes over 20 minutes and is stunning.
Day 13: Take one last stroll for some breakfast and head to the airport after checkout.
- The Da Nang International Airport is fairly close and is a very inexpensive taxi ride.
- See the Dragon Bridge and local sights on the way out.
