Where to stay in St. Lucie Florida
During our visit we knew we wanted to stay close to the beach. There is something about waking up to the sounds of waves crashing that is like nothing else. We stayed a the Courtyard Marriott Hutchinson Island. This boutique style hotel is right on Jensen Beach which made for the most gorgeous views from our oceanfront room. The staff was some of the friendliest people and the girls grabbed a free cookie on our way up to the room after check in. The rooms were spacious and clean and we could fit all 5 of us easily.

Our favorite thing to do was walk out to the beach at sunrise (I have 3 kids under 6, we were always up at sunrise) walk down to the beach and admire the serene view. This beach is gorgeous and my girls loved to splash in the waves. We loved it was just a short walk from the hotel’s pool area.
Speaking of pool area, the Courtyard Hutchinson Island had a really fun one. Scott and I especially liked the Latitude Outdoor tiki bar right on the pool deck.
Things to see in St. Lucie
Superplay USA
We spent our first night at Superplay USA and this place was made for kids! Bowling, arcade, mini golf and laser tag, all inside this giant building! My girls focused their energy on bowling and were ecstatic when the lights got low and the cosmic bowling started. So much fun!

We loved that there was a restaurant attached and we were able to order delicious food and drinks right to our lane. The restaurant was Duffy’s, which we had visited before, and the food was just as good as we remembered. We never had to leave our game, we enjoyed out dinner, while enjoying our game of bowling.
Club Med Sandpiper Bay
I had no idea that Florida had its own all inclusive resort and now I am happy that I do. This place made all my vacation dreams come true. Delicious food, adult beverages, lots of activities for the family, we were in heaven. Even if you aren’t staying on property you can still utilize all that Club Med has to offer with their day pass. You get all the perks and can make the most of your action packed day!

Some of our favorite activities that were included with our day pass were the 4 pools (especially the kids pool). The classes like Zumba and water fitness. The water sports, like canoeing and sailing. The fact that it’s such an active place with options to play mini golf or tennis. Some of the things we didn’t use but wanted to were the Kids Clubs and the trapeze lessons.

Overall we had the best day at Club Med and loved the friendly staff and friends we made there. One of the lifeguards was so sweet she even made our girls friendship bracelets. If you are looking for an easy vacation where everyone in your family can have something to do than this is the place!

Central Florida Surf School
We decided to try an activity this trip that took me completely outside of my comfort zone. As we drove up to the beach that morning I felt a pit in my stomach. I had surfed years ago and it wasn’t the best experience so I came into this with a whole lot of nerves. The moment I met Lisa my nerves faded away. She has this was of making you feel confident and calm all at the same time. She is very knowledgeable and a great teacher and knew exactly how to direct me while also directing the girls the way that would be helpful for them.
We spent some time at the pavilion, going over rules and basics, before hitting the beach. This was so important for us because once we finally went out we felt prepared.

Lucille started first and she was a natural. Got up on her first try! She didn’t want to stop.
Me on the other hand? I got knocked off quite a bit. But you know what? I conquered my fear, I went out there, and I actually got up on a wave!
This was such a fun experience and I don’t think it would of been the same without Lisa. Thanks to her we now have a house of surfing lovers.
